SignUpGenius is seeking an exceptional Staff Front End Engineer who combines deep technical expertise, particularly in development with Angular 20/TypeScript and Micro Front-End architecture, and has a strong appreciation for product experience. This role requires someone who can thoughtfully translate complex requirements into intuitive, high-quality user interfaces while collaborating across engineering, product, and design to elevate every release. The ideal candidate is self-driven, intellectually curious, and motivated by delivering scalable, maintainable front-end solutions. You thrive in agile environments, value clean architecture and performance, and enjoy partnering with cross-functional teams to solve meaningful challenges. If you are passionate about building refined, impactful user experiences and contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team, we welcome the opportunity to connect with you!
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- 8+ years building production frontend applications; 4+ years deep Angular expertise in modern Angular (v14+ standalone components, Signals, RxJS); 6+ years TypeScript.
- Proven at architect level: you’ve set technical standards, led Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), mentored engineers, and made framework-level decisions with lasting impact. Large-scale products only—not just prototypes or internal tools.
- 3+ years implementing high-fidelity designs from Figma or equivalent design tools in a product environment: pixel discipline, responsive intent, motion/micro-interactions, and typography craft.
- Experience leading real CI/CD pipelines, code review culture, observability practices, and long-term frontend maintenance at scale.
- Comfort evaluating and recommending tooling: monorepo strategies, build systems, state management patterns, testing frameworks, and component documentation—not just using what’s there, but knowing when to change it.
- Strong systems thinking for design systems: tokens, theming, accessibility, composable APIs, and avoiding one-offs—you design for reuse, not the current ticket.
- React experience (highly preferred): 3+ years React/TypeScript in production; comfort with hooks, component patterns, and modern React idioms. Cross-framework architects are a strong fit and will be prioritized.
- AI-augmented workflow: you regularly use tools like Claude/Copilot/Cursor for research, scaffolding, tests, and refactors—and you critically review every line.
- Clear communicator: writes concise docs and ADRs, reviews PRs thoughtfully, and explains trade-offs to technical and non-technical partners.
- Self-motivated and able to handle responsibilities without consistent oversight
- Passion for learning functionality and digging deep into how things work
- You must be skilled in task and time management
- Lastly, you must have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude
What You’ll Enjoy:
- Modern foundation, not a cleanup job: Angular 20 micro-frontend application with Nx, Module Federation, conventions, tests, and a mature component library—you spend time building, not untangling debt.
- Architectural influence: your recommendations shape the stack, not just your ticket. You’ll have a real seat at the table for tooling, patterns, and technical direction.
- AI-forward culture: we expect AI to accelerate craft, not replace it—use it for speed, keep judgment and quality as the bar.
- End-to-end impact: from micro-frontend architecture and state strategy to UI polish, accessibility, and long-term maintainability.
